Emily Township Woman Murder Clues Sought!

Wendy Taylor, 59 Murdered!

Friday, September 27, 2013  City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to an incident which occurred at a residence on Valley Road in former Emily Township. Responding officers discovered the body of a female at the residence. The investigation has determined that she is the victim of a homicide. The victim, identified as Wendy Taylor, age 59, lWived at the residence where she was found.

The cause and circumstances surrounding her murder cannot be released to protect the integrity of the investigation. This investigation continues under the direction of Detective Inspector Jim Smyth of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch with the assistance of other members of the Major Crime Unit, and Forensic Investigators.
OPP Seeking Information
The OPP is asking anyone who observed any type of unusual activity in the area of Valley Rd in the past few days or has any information to offer about the victim to contact the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
