Omemee Shoddy Snow Removal Causes Dangers!

Kawartha Lakes Snow Removal Services Causing Problems

December 28, 2012 Omemee, Ontario -  Omemee Citizens Seek Action
Early Friday afternoon, upon noticing a senior with a walker forced onto the road by snow piled on the Omemee Bridge by passing plows, an Omemee citizen started making calls and knocking on doors concerned about the dangers presented to traffic, and pedestrians.

'Two hours ago, I called the police about the situation,' he shared with Omemee Pigeon fedgling reporter, Elizabeth, adding 'Still nothing has been done about this dangerous situation. We need this documented. Can you take pictures? '
A group of Omemee residents began clearing the mess which included, huge snow boulders, left by City of Kawartha Lakes plows on the bridge,

The citizens worked industriously to clear the sidewalk as quickly and safely as possible.

Ironically, the police and sidewalk plow arrived on the scene in response to a call complaining that a group of people was throwing snow on the road at the bridge.

After a short discussion, the situation was clarifed, and the plow finished the sidewalk.
