Pot Seized From Fleetwood Road Driver.
(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON.) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) recently seized a small quantity of marihuana from a motor vehicle.
On May 31, 2012 an OPP officer conducted a vehicle stop on Highway 35 near Fleetwood Road, within the City of Kawartha Lakes. The vehicle was travelling in excess of the posted speed limit. As a result, the driver, Kartheepan NARAYANAGNANAM, 19 years of age, of Scarborough, was charged with speeding.
Further investigation revealed that the driver was in possession of a small quantity of marihuana and he was subsequently charged with possession of a controlled substance under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.
The accused will appear in court in Lindsay on July 5, 2012.
